SwapYard (“the Platform”) is a tool that helps Magic: The Gathering players find potential trading partners in their area. We provide a place to list cards, discover matches, and coordinate trades.

We are a platform, not a party to any trade. We do not buy, sell, appraise, authenticate, or handle any cards. All trades happen directly between users, at their own discretion and risk.

Card prices displayed on SwapYard are sourced from Scryfall and TCGPlayer, and are provided for informational purposes only.

• Prices are estimates based on recent market data, not appraisals or guarantees of value
• Prices update periodically and may not reflect real-time market conditions
• Currency conversions (e.g. USD → CAD) use daily exchange rates and are approximate
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any pricing data

You are solely responsible for evaluating whether a trade is fair. We recommend checking multiple pricing sources before agreeing to any trade.

Card conditions (NM, LP, MP, HP, DMG) and other listing details are self-reported by users. SwapYard does not inspect, verify, or guarantee the condition, authenticity, or existence of any listed card.

We strongly recommend verifying card condition and authenticity in person before completing any trade. If a card does not match the listed condition, you are not obligated to proceed with the trade.

By using SwapYard, you agree that:

• You are responsible for the accuracy of your own listings
• You trade at your own risk and exercise your own judgment
• You will verify card condition and authenticity in person before finalizing trades
• You will conduct meetups in safe, public locations (game stores are recommended)
• You will not use the platform for fraud, scams, or misrepresentation
• You will treat other traders with respect

SwapYard and its operators are not liable for:

• The outcome of any trade between users
• Inaccurate pricing data from third-party sources
• Misrepresented card conditions or counterfeit cards
• Disputes between users, including value disagreements
• No-shows, theft, or any incidents during in-person meetups
• Loss of data, account access, or any damages arising from platform use

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, including for violations of these terms, reported fraud, or behavior that harms the trading community.

Reputation scores reflect completed trade history and are calculated automatically. They are not endorsements of any user's trustworthiness.

Your location, contact method, and game store affiliation are only shared with trade partners after both parties accept a trade. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

We use cookies solely for authentication and currency preferences. No tracking cookies are used.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Users in the United States agree that disputes will be resolved under applicable federal law.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use SwapYard. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement. Users under 18 require parental or guardian consent.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of SwapYard after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll note the date of the last update at the top of this page.
